Melissa Wills has been selected as the 2022-2023 Lindbergh Elementary Teacher of the Year!
This is Melissa's sixth year at Lindbergh where she teaches 5th grade.
"My favorite subject to teach is social studies. I love the curiosity and debate that students generate through active learning and peer collaboration," said Melissa. "I became a teacher partly because of the many inspiring teachers I had growing up. Also, as a history graduate, I wanted to share my passion for history with others on a daily basis. In return, I learn a lot from my students too, and it is a joy to teach their inquisitive minds."
She said her favorite part of teaching is building relationships with students and watching them grow throughout the year.
"I love that every day and every student is unique. At Lindbergh, these individual strengths are celebrated within a loving school community. I am very lucky to work with this amazing team where I am proud to be named Lindbergh's Teacher of the Year!"
